About the role

We are recruiting a Créo F/H Mechanical Watch Designer on a permanent contract to join our Industrial Expertise division, as part of a large-scale, long-term project to expand our partner's industrial activities.

 

As a Mechanical Watch Designer, your responsibilities will include :

 

  • Transfer and update technical files in the current data management database.
  • Draw up complete component and assembly definition files, including mock-ups, geometric drawings and associated data.
  • Search archives and legacy systems for existing definitions.
  • Check and validate the accuracy of definition data when re-using it.
  • Identify and coordinate requirements for geometric analysis, composition, material condition, assembly and marking.
  • Propose definition changes and lead technical validation sessions.
  • Support remanufacturing projects and manage the necessary adaptations.
  • Use management and traceability tools to monitor activities.
  • Write technical files in accordance with the processes applied to the components of production watches.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by proposing, communicating and optimizing methodologies.

Your profile

  • Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in construction (minimum 6 years), including at least 4 years in the watchmaking field, particularly in packaging (case, bracelet, dial, etc.).
  • Solid technical skills in design, materials, applied mechanics and functional construction.
  • Good command of manufacturing, finishing and assembly processes.
  • Proven experience in the reconstruction and analysis of old watch components.
  • Excellent command of design and management tools: Creo 4.0, PDMLink and CETOL.
  • A genuine passion for mechanical watchmaking and its heritage.
  • Ability to structure, manage and develop new activities.
  • Attentive, available and open-minded.
  • Analytical, reactive and able to handle unforeseen situations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with a flair for synthesis and detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and rigorous work methods.
  • A keen interest in passing on knowledge and sharing know-how.
