About the role

We are recruiting a Project Manager for Industrialization of Watch Cleaning Processes (M/F) on a permanent contract to join our Industrial Expertise division as part of a large-scale, long-term project to expand the activities of our partner based in Geneva.

 

As Project Manager for Watchmaking Cleaning Processes, your responsibilities will include:

 

 

  • Lead continuous improvement projects related to washing operations.
  • Participate in investment projects for industrial cleaning equipment (washing, electroplating, degreasing) by providing technical expertise and commissioning the equipment.
  • Support production to resolve daily issues or deviations from existing processes.
  • Keep abreast of technological developments in your area of expertise.
  • Justify the need for change and contribute to the consolidation of continuous improvement plans and investment programs.
  • Update project information and communicate about quality, risks, deadlines, and costs.
  • Lead the team, manage reporting, address discrepancies, and add value to decision-making.
  • Capitalize on best practices and contribute to the development of reference systems.

  • Bachelor of Engineering, specializing in applied chemistry and electrochemistry / surface treatments.
  • More than 20 years of experience in industrial project management, including 6 to 10 years specifically in industrial cleaning, ideally in the watchmaking or jewelry industry.
  • Proficiency in various types of cleaning and surface treatment technologies (detergent-based, solvent-based, plasma treatment, etc.) and familiarity with the network of detergent suppliers.
  • Substantial experience in industrialization, project management, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of the watchmaking industrialization process and related tools.
  • Independence, analytical skills, and the ability to synthesize information.
  • Natural leadership and teaching skills that help motivate and unite a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and technical proficiency, enabling you to quickly get up to speed in a new role.
  • Analytical skills and the ability to take a broad view to effectively lead a cross-functional team of experts.
