
The role involves contributing to the development, enhancement, and ongoing support of the Calypso Back Office system in both project delivery and day-to-day operations. It plays a key role in ensuring the stability and efficiency of daily operations.
Success in this role requires a thorough understanding of business processes, operational timelines, and data exchanges between internal platforms and external systems. The team works closely with business stakeholders, architects, infrastructure teams, and system administrators to deliver high-quality solutions.
Project Delivery & Change Management
Assess and analyze enhancement requests related to repository activities and new product launches.
Define and recommend functional and technical solutions in collaboration with Solution Architects.
Prepare detailed specifications, effort estimates, implementation plans, test cases, and release documentation.
Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Contribute to monthly production releases, ensuring alignment with development and testing milestones.
Support production deployments and ensure alignment with the overall release roadmap.
Incident & Application Support
Provide expert-level (Level 3) support to business users and IT stakeholders.
Diagnose, investigate, and resolve production issues and system defects.
Process Optimization & Team Support
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
At least 5 years of experience as a Calypso Business Analyst, specifically in the back-office domain.
Proven expertise working with Calypso versions 14 through 17.
Strong functional knowledge of the Static Data, Workflows, Scheduled Tasks, Confirmations, Settlements, Messaging (including SWIFT), Positions, Accounting, Corporate Actions, Filters, Reporting Framework, and Reconciliation modules.
A solid understanding of financial products such as repos, bonds, securities lending and borrowing, and issuances, including comprehensive knowledge of the entire trade lifecycle.
Experience with regulatory reporting (HRF, NORIA, MMSR).
Proven experience integrating Calypso with external systems.
Hands-on involvement in system implementation projects.
Experience working in Agile environments.
Implementation of the NR scenario.
Flexibility to provide Level 3 support and participate in an on-call rotation, including nights and weekends.
