About the role

We are recruiting a PLM Classification Project Manager (M/F) on a permanent contract to join our expertise center as part of a large-scale, long-term project to expand our partner's industrial activities.

 

As PLM Classification Project Manager (M/F), your role will be:

 

  • Definition, structuring, maintenance, and application of the classification framework (families, subfamilies, attributes, authorized values, coding and naming rules).
  • Classification and codification of data according to PLM standards, with completeness and consistency checks.
  • Drafting and updating classification standards and procedures, ensuring compliance with best practices.
  • Management of special cases: qualification, treatment proposal, and escalation if necessary.
  • Preparation and facilitation of professional workshops: classification of types, collection of discrepancies, trade-offs, convergence towards a standard, and formalization of decisions.
  • Analysis of business needs and data types.
  • Preparation and participation in classification pilot tests: sample creation, execution, analysis of results, and adjustment of rules.
  • Post-migration compliance validation: classification checks, anomaly tracking, and implementation of corrections.
  • Monitoring and updating quality KPIs (compliance, error rate, reuse, duplicates).
  • One-time contribution to migration activities (post-loading checks, classification rules related to mapping).
  • Active participation in reporting on operations carried out in accordance with the schedule.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of the PLM data model, classification strategies, and their evolution.
  • Contribution to continuous improvement.

Your profile

  • A degree in engineering from a university of applied sciences (HES), a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, or an equivalent qualification.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in project management or leading continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in an industrial setting, with knowledge of product and process industrialization and the associated tools.
  • Knowledge of digital transformation (a plus).
  • Proficiency in product data repositories (CAD, bills of materials, items).
  • Excellent understanding of classification principles (attributes, standardization, controlled values).
  • Strong business analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with PLM, CAD, ERP, and MES tools (e.g., Creo, SAP, Windchill).
  • Proficiency in PLM migration and retrofit tools, data manipulation (CSV, imports/exports), and the Microsoft Office suite (advanced Excel).
  • Familiarity with Monday, Confluence, and Jira (a plus).
  • Excellent communication skills, teaching ability, and a commitment to customer service.
  • Ability to engage business teams, facilitate alignment, and foster buy-in.
  • Diligence, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Main responsibilities:

 

You will be responsible for:

 

• Managing the maintenance and evolution of a portfolio of IT solutions supporting medical and anti-doping activities within an international sports environment.

 

• Acting as the key interface between business stakeholders, ICT teams, delivery teams, suppliers and partners to ensure that delivered solutions meet business needs and expectations.

 

• Collecting, analysing and formalising business requirements, then translating them into clear technical briefs, user stories, test scenarios and documentation for the development teams.

 

• Maintaining and refining medical and anti-doping product backlogs, ensuring that roadmaps remain accurate, up to date and aligned with business priorities.

 

• Coordinating and delivering onboarding activities for business users, including workshops, training sessions and event-based enablement initiatives.

 

• Supporting the adoption and operational use of digital medical solutions during events, workshops and conferences, including on-site support when required.

 

• Acting as an escalation point between business units, ICT stakeholders and delivery teams, while helping to remove impediments and resolve operational issues.

 

• Managing relationships with suppliers and partners, ensuring that service delivery meets contractual obligations, quality standards and project objectives.

 

• Overseeing solution maintenance and support by testing functionalities, identifying incidents, coordinating fixes and suggesting continuous improvements.

 

• Conducting quality controls based on predefined metrics and taking appropriate actions to ensure a high standard of delivery.

 

• Supporting the delivery of projects and products in line with the roadmap, while fostering innovation and identifying opportunities for improvement, optimisation and cost savings.

Expected skills:

 

• You have at least 5 years of proven experience in B2B product development, product delivery or digital solution implementation.

 

• You have experience in application maintenance, support and operational delivery.

 

• Experience in the medical industry, sports environment or international organisation is an asset.

 

• You have a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.

 

• You are able to write clear user stories, manage backlogs and coordinate UAT, functional testing and defect tracking.

 

• You are comfortable working with business stakeholders and technical teams, acting as a bridge between business needs and IT delivery.

 

• You have experience with user onboarding, training delivery and stakeholder engagement, ideally in event-based or operational environments.

 

• You have experience with data visualisation, analytics and data modelling.

 

• You are proficient with product and backlog management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or equivalent.

 

• You have experience with collaboration and documentation tools such as Confluence, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.

 

• You understand API-based integrations and REST/SOAP services.
