About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Cutover Manager to join our dynamic team, leading the transition phase for a high-profile banking initiative. The Cutover Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing the cutover strategy to ensure a smooth transition from old systems to new for our esteemed banking client. This pivotal role requires a blend of technical acumen, project management skills, and a deep understanding of banking operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cutover plan, covering all aspects of the transition process, including timelines, milestones, risk assessment, and contingency planning.
  • Coordinate closely with project teams, IT, business units, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and readiness for the cutover.
  • Manage and monitor cutover activities, ensuring they are executed according to plan and within the stipulated timelines.
  • Lead rehearsals and simulations to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions prior to the actual cutover.
  • Ensure all necessary support is in place for post-cutover activities, including troubleshooting, user support, and documentation.
  • Provide regular updates to the project leadership and stakeholders on the progress, challenges, and next steps.
  • Manage the resolution of any issues arising during the cutover process, minimizing impact on business operations.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or IT management, with at least 2 years in a cutover management role.

  • Strong understanding of banking processes and systems.

  • Proven track record of managing complex cutover strategies for large-scale IT projects.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).

  • Experience in the banking sector, specifically in private banking.

  • Knowledge of the latest technology trends and their applications in banking.
