About the role

We are recruiting a Materials Engineer - Sustainable Development (M/F) to join our industrial expertise division, as part of a large-scale, long-term project to expand our partner's activities.

 

As a Materials Engineer - Sustainable Development (M/F), your responsibilities will include :

 

  • Clarity on the environmental consequences of projects for better orientation.
  • Detailed analyses, ecological balances and life cycle assessments (LCA).
  • Validation and questioning of the assumptions underlying the various balance sheets.
  • Development of a rigorous methodology for systematically assessing carbon impacts.
  • Leadership in optimizing the company's environmental performance.
  • Active participation in the environmental network and alignment with peers
  • Identify opportunities and propose concrete action plans
  • Constant monitoring of environmental issues and ESG regulations (SBTi, etc.), with synthesis and communication of research carried out.
  • Regular communication on activities and progress on deliverables in line with objectives.

Your profile

  • Graduate engineer in environmental sciences, materials engineering or equivalent field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in life cycle assessment.
  • Mastery of different types of materials such as steel, gold, platinum, wood, titanium, ceramics and bio-based materials.
  • Familiarity with Simapro software and knowledge of the "Ecoinvent" database would be an additional asset.
  • Sensitivity to environmental issues, ability to learn, synthesize and formalize information.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative spirit within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, especially when making presentations to management.
