Operations Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Be a team member of L2 production support team located across Singapore and India to ensure 24 * 6 production support for the APAC region.
• Provide application production support for Cash Management and filtering and AML systems within Asia Pacific.
• Independently debug and propose resolution/work-around for complex production issues.
• Ensure root cause analysis is performed where necessary and manage resulting action items to completion.
• Coordinate across various teams to effectively manage production issues and maintenance activities.
• Ensure issues are reported, tracked, followed up and escalated timely.
• Resolve or coordinate the resolution of issues, through problem management process, with other internal teams and / or the vendor.
• Coordinate and follow up with Application teams to ensure permanent fix is prioritized, planned and delivered, through the problem management process.
• Communicate and provide status updates on issues to business users, management team and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to preventive system monitoring and alerting, where appropriate.
• Support change management process and application releases.
• Support Disaster Recovery Test and Business Continuity activities.
• Support IT Security activities e.g. health checks after security patches.
• Support end-of-day and end-of-month batch runs.
• Perform and coordinate regular maintenance activities.
• Document operational procedures, contribute to knowledge base and cross train other team members to build up functional and technical expertise for our CM applications.
• Analyze and challenge existing support processes to achieve continuous improvement.

• Subject Matter Expert in carrying out SAP SD implementation projects integration with other modules like Material Management.
• Strong technical skills in all areas of the SAP SD Billing, SAP SD Returns Processing, Order-to-Cash processes, logistic execution, info structure creation, configuration and updated rules, etc in a manufacturing environment
• Conduct structured testing internally and with users; Ensuring stabilization of the solution and continuous improvements

- Business Analyst

• Organize and run dedicated meetings or committees.
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal third parties to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Functional requirements (GFS), Business Requirements Document, Use Cases, Screen and Interface designs, Business process design, minutes, review and validation with Sponsors, Presentation etc.
• To perform preliminary studies , analysis (including leading stakeholders workshops), effort estimations.
• Analyse gaps in functionality and processes between European and Asian sites and propose solutions to converge and align them into a common design.
• Analyse and structure new requirements with all stakeholders involved in order to propose to the organization the best way to deliver appropriate solutions and integrate them in the overall program.
• Have relevant experience in defining and implementation of business rules, scenarios and supporting business parameters. Experience in AML rules will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with the team's experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
• Be the liaison between the business units, and technology teams.
• Participate to the full development lifecycle including design, estimation, planning, development support, test support, release, implementation & guarantee support.
• Coordinate, supervise and contribute to Users Acceptance Tests (UAT) related to new implementations
• Lead, with the support of technical teams, the definition of the solution and the implementation roadmap.
• Lead vendor discussions & solution for convergence and new version upgrade topics.

- Project Management & Governance

• Good steering committee presentation skills; capacity to interact with C-Level.
• Coordinate the implementation from a project management perspective and ensure the WMIS Project governance applied at each step.
• Highlight any potential concerns / risks and proactively shares best risk management practices
• Manage all the decision making and analysis process allowing designing, validating the solution, and getting the necessary approvals in terms of architecture, IT risk and IT Security.
• Manage escalations during day-to-day business from stakeholders and propose amicable solutions.
• Ensure that every new solution implemented respects WMIS standards and allows for mutualisation / reuse as much as possible between sites.
• Coordinate with all teams, from same division or other divisions, working on the same project
• Passionate and ensure project is completed on time, on budget, with quality and meet the requirements as per the specifications
• Support on project management activities such as cost estimation, planning elaboration governance, including follow-up etc.

Context:

This role aims to develop on the Calypso back-office package, in project mode as well as maintenance, and to support the "run the bank" function. It requires a deep understanding of the nature of business operations, timing of activities & data flowing through internal and external systems. The build and support team continuously works with business users, infrastructure engineers and system managers.
